Oct 4 Greater Shelby Chamber - Go & Grow "Storytelling & Relationship Marketing" |
Greater Shelby Chamber Go & Grow Workshop
“Storytelling & Relationship Marketing”
In today’s business world, it’s not persuasion that gains a customer, but rather empathy. As human beings, we build relationships through our stories. So why aren’t we doing that with our companies? A good story uses the intricacies of everyday life and presents them in a way so as to connect with a variety of human emotions. Attendees at this workshop will learn valuable information on:
- The power behind good storytelling;
- How storytelling relates to relationship marketing;
- Why storytelling is imperative in today’s digital (yet disconnected) world;
- Ways to accomplish powerful storytelling for your business, and much more!
The workshop -- sponsored by Business Telephones, Inc. and facilitated by Dr. Amiee Mellon, Assistant Professor of Marketing with the Stephens College of Business at the University of Montevallo -- will be on Tuesday, October 4 from 11:30AM until 2:00PM at the Chamber. There is no cost to attend the workshop, but lunch is available for $10 per person for Chamber investors ($20 for “Future” investors).
To ensure we have a proper headcount, please make reservations for this workshop by contacting Payton Thomas, the Chamber’s Manager of Business Development & Support via e-mail at payton@shelbychamber.org or by calling 663-4542, ext. 106 or register online no later than noon on Friday, September 30. |

Oct 13 Warehouse 31 Haunted House |
Prepare yourself for the most intense and frightening night of your life as you make your way through nearly 30,000 square feet of twisting, turning, and terrifying horrors. Warehouse 31 in Pelham will turn your nightmares into reality that consists of two separate indoor haunted trails-Rigamortis and the 3D Experience.

Oct 29 Warehouse 31 Haunted House |
Prepare yourself for the most intense and frightening night of your life as you make your way through nearly 30,000 square feet of twisting, turning, and terrifying horrors. Warehouse 31 in Pelham will turn your nightmares into reality that consists of two separate indoor haunted trails-Rigamortis and the 3D Experience.
The Rigamortis is the traditional style haunted attraction that is located inside the old warehouse which features twists and turns through 50 scenes of terror and mayhem. The 3D experience is the largest of its kind in Alabama. Guests wear 3-D glasses and enter a world that seems to be in another dimension while weaving through the hallways.
While the haunted guests are inside, guests will find several attractions outside while they wait. A giant movie screen shows horror films alongside food and beverage vendors, and people can also play carnival-themed games. Prepare to attend a costume contest Thursday, October 27th at 7pm presented by Talk Radio 99.5 and Warehouse31 to win big prizes.
Warehouse 31 owner Jason Sills says ?Our goal is to deliver an entertainment experience. We focus on attention to detail whether it?s audio, lighting, or smell. We do whatever we can to draw people in and play off their senses to get them to believe they are really in that scene.
Warehouse 31 offers a variety of ticket choices from VIP, Fast Pass, and General Admission. Warehouse 31 will be opened every weekend and select nights until November 5th. For ticket information and more details please visit www.warehouse31.com
