SUMMARY:Cescilia Llorente Solo Exhibit Opening Shelby County Arts Council
DESCRIPTION:Cescilia Llorente Fowler\, the winner of the 2014 SCAC Juried Art Exhibit\, will open her solo exhibit on March 6 from 6:00-8:00pm. \n\nCescilia was born in Mexico City.  The artist's mother taught her at an early age- giving her support and motivation with of her projects. Her career began as an artist and painter age at the age of 12\, traning with Ma. de Lourdes Valdes. She took many painting classes using different techniques and materials.  Cescilia  designed and painted scene for stage plays and children's theater in 1991 and 1992.  She began giving painting classes for children\, adolescents in 1976\, in 1993 began giving classes to adults.  Cescilia has created more than 800 different works with varios techniques and materials. Her art is owned and displayed in many countries- Argentina\, Colombia\, England\, Germany\, Poland\, New Zeland\, Spain\, Mexico and The United States in Alabama\, Florida\, Georgia\, Illinois\, Indiana\, North Carolina and Texas.\n\nOther Recent awards include the People Choice Award (2013)\, Watercolor Society of Alabama (WSA) Members' Showcase and Merit Award (2014) for the Watercolor Society of Alabama (WSA) Members' Showcase.\n\nThe Gallery Exhibit will be from March 6 - March 27\, 2015.
