SUMMARY:Film Premiere "You Can Change the World"
DESCRIPTION:Magnolialand Entertainment in conjunction with (SKY) Skilled Knowledgeable Youth present "You Can Change the World". You are invited to attend this film premier that documents both middle school and high school student's life changing work as they deliver and install a hydroelectric power plant\, deliver a basic utility vehicle that is being used as a school bus by the Cefalu School\, and fit Honduran amputees with prosthetic legs. Uniquely all these authentic real world projects were designed and built in the students engineering classroom. An aquatic wheelchair designed by the students will be on display in the theater lobby. Prior to the event a trailer to a film about the Alabaster City Schools Sister School project will be shown. The Alabaster school staff and students will be recognized by receiving a Presidential Volunteer Service Award. The Calera students staring in the film "You Can Change the World" will be recognized and honored by Lieutenant Governor Kay Ivey\, making each member Honorary Lieutenant Governors of the State of Alabama. Please make plans and honor these Shelby County citizens and their tremendous life changing accomplishments.
