DESCRIPTION:The Greater Shelby Chamber's Annual Meeting Luncheon\, scheduled for January 30th\, will celebrate the past year's accomplishments under Chamber Chair David Nolen of M&F Bank and highlight the 2013 Business Plan.\n\n\n\nThis year's program will also feature comments from William J. Canary\, Jr.\, President & CEO of the Business Council of Alabama. Prior to accepting the BCA post\, Canary was a special assistant to President George H. W. Bush and president and CEO of the American Trucking Association.\n\n\n\nFounded in 1985\, with the consolidation of the former Alabama Chamber of Commerce and Associated Industries of Alabama\, BCA has worked hard to improve Alabama's business climate. More recently and with the help of the Alabama State Legislature -- BCA has been instrumental in securing passage of a number of real reforms in the areas of tax credits for small business\, job creation\, incentives for economic development\, ethics reform and positive changes in our public education system.\n\n\n\nThe 32nd Annual Meeting Luncheon will be held at the Pelham Civic Complex\, 500 Amphitheater Road\, Pelham\, with doors opening at 11 am and the program beginning at Noon. The Showcase City Feature will be the municipalities of Shelby County.\n\n\n\nReserved corporate tables of eight for $175 (call the Chamber to request a reserved corporate table) and individual tickets for $17 are available. Future member tickets are available for $25. Registrations for the luncheon are required by Monday\, January 28th for planning purposes.
