SUMMARY:Greater Shelby Chamber - Go & Grow "Storytelling & Relationship Marketing"
DESCRIPTION:Greater Shelby Chamber Go & Grow Workshop\n\n"Storytelling & Relationship Marketing"\n\n\nIn today's business world\, it's not persuasion that gains a customer\, but rather empathy. As human beings\, we build relationships through our stories. So why aren't we doing that with our companies? A good story uses the intricacies of everyday life and presents them in a way so as to connect with a variety of human emotions. Attendees at this workshop will learn valuable information on:\n\n\n\n- The power behind good storytelling\;\n\n\n\n- How storytelling relates to relationship marketing\;\n\n\n\n- Why storytelling is imperative in today's digital (yet disconnected) world\;\n\n\n\n- Ways to accomplish powerful storytelling for your business\, and much more!\n\n\n\nThe workshop -- sponsored by Business Telephones\, Inc. and facilitated by Dr. Amiee Mellon\, Assistant Professor of Marketing with the Stephens College of Business at the University of Montevallo -- will be on Tuesday\, October 4 from 11:30AM until 2:00PM at the Chamber. There is no cost to attend the workshop\, but lunch is available for $10 per person for Chamber investors ($20 for "Future" investors).\n\n\n\nTo ensure we have a proper headcount\, please make reservations for this workshop by contacting Payton Thomas\, the Chamber's Manager of Business Development & Support via e-mail at payton@shelbychamber.org or by calling 663-4542\, ext. 106 or register online no later than noon on Friday\, September 30.
