DESCRIPTION:Greater Shelby Chamber Quarterly Industry Tour Set for December 5 at the Alabama Power Generating Plant\n\n\n\nJoin the Chamber's Existing Business and Industry Work Group on Thursday\, December 5 from 9:00AM until 11:AM for its final Quarterly Industry Tour for 2013 at the Alabama Power Generating Plant.  This is an opportunity to learn how electricity is generated from coal or other fuels as well and includes a tour viewing the main pieces of equipment that make up a coal fired plant\n\n\n\nGuests need to arrive on-site at 9:00AM at the Alabama Power Generating Plant\, 31972 Hwy 25 N. Wilsonville\, AL  35186.  Directions:  Take I-65 South to Exit 228 (Timberline Golf Club Exit)\, pass Timberline Golf Club and turn right onto Hwy. 25. Follow Hwy. 25 to Wilsonville and continue onward until you see 456\, Alabama Power's Ernest C. Gaston Electric Engineering Plant on your right.\n\n\n\nSpace is limited to 20 guests.  If you are interested in attending\, we encourage you to register early to ensure your space availability.
