DESCRIPTION:Greater Shelby Chamber's August Membership Program Featuring Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham\n\n\n\nThe Chamber's August Membership Program will feature a presentation by Christopher Nanni President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham\, which is the oldest and largest community Foundation in Alabama.\n\n\n\nFounded in 1959\, the Community Foundation is a permanent charitable endowment that serves five area counties including our own Shelby County.  The Foundation awards grants to non-profit organizations throughout the area from donor-advised funds as well as through a competitive grant process. Through grant-making\, convening and leading\, the Community Foundation works in partnership with donors\, non-profits and communities to improve the life of the region.\n\n\n\nThe Membership Program\, sponsored by The UPS Store\, Caldwell Mill/ Valleydale in Hoover\, will be held on August 27 at the Pelham Civic Complex & Ice Arena.  Doors open at 11:00AM for business networking and program will begin promptly at 11:30AM.
