DESCRIPTION:Regional Transportation Infrastructure Hearing\n\nTo Be Held at American Village on January 19\n\n \nThe Alabama Legislature's Joint Transportation Committee will hold five regional meetings in January to gather information on Alabama's infrastructure needs in order to maintain safe\, quality roads and bridges.\n\nThe second of the five meetings will be held in Shelby County on January 19. The Alliance for Alabama's Infrastructure will host the meeting in partnership with the Business Council of Alabama and the Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce. The meeting will be held at American Village (3727 Highway 119) in Montevallo beginning at 10:00AM and concluding at noon.\n\n\n\n"The meetings will help guide the future of Alabama's arteries of transportation that are the lifeblood for commerce\, business\, and manufacturing to markets both within and without Alabama\," BCA President and CEO William J. Canary said. "Timed perfectly before the February start of the 2016 regular legislative session\, the meetings offer the public\, local officials\, business leaders\, and their employees the opportunity to provide input and learn about Alabama's important surface transportation system."\n"We're honored to co-host this important meeting\, and for our business and community leaders to have the opportunity to share their perspective on infrastructure needs in order to maintain safe\, quality roads and bridges in our communities."
