DESCRIPTION:The San Augustine County Chamber of Commerce will present its 27th Annual Sassafras Festival and Celebration of the Tricentennial of the Mission Dolores on Saturday\, October 28 from 10-5 on the historic downtown. The recently restored 1919 jail\,now a Law Enforcement Museum\, will be open for tours all day\, in addition to the old time barber shop. All day entertainment\, featuring Shane Cooley and Band\, a hot band from Austin\, and Charles Delaney\, a favorite of all. Arts and crafts\, multicultural food\, barrel train\, pet costume contest\, Halloween costume contest\, car show and contest\, art and photography contest and many other activities.
