The Sidewalk Film Festival is an annual celebration of new independent cinema showcased in downtown Birmingham. Since its debut\, filmmakers from around the world have come to Birmingham to screen their work at Sidewalk and have been thrilled to discover enthusiastic audiences. The 14th annual Sidewalk Film Festival will take place August 24-26 and will include over 200 film screenings\, with close to 100 question and answer sessions with participating filmmakers and will offer eight filmmaker or industry panels\, one Continuing Legal Education (CLE) event and a variety of social events all in historic downtown Birmingham. Sidewalk offers a little something for everyone\, with a FREE Family Film Festival in the McWane Center's Rushton Theater\, FREE live music on the outdoor stage in Sidewalk Central\, and of course films!
