DESCRIPTION:Connect 2 Careers \n\n\n\nThe goal of this event is to attract youth to careers. More than 2\,000 10th grade students within Shelby County will be attending and exploring career opportunities for their future. Each cluster will provide hands-on demonstrations and interactive activities to create relevant job awareness for the students.\n\nWe have sponsorship opportunities available. Each level provides your company with recognition exposure in publications and at our event. This event will make an impact on students\, administrators\, parents\, as well as your own industry. With your help and sponsorship\, the 2019 Connect 2 Careers will send the message to students that there are many career choices in Shelby County and now is the time to begin their journey.\n\nOn behalf of the Shelby County Chamber we encourage you to partner with us to inform\, educate\, and recruit our workforce of the future. \n\n \n\nVOULUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES\n\nVolunteers need on both September 11th and 12th from 8:30am to 2:00pm\, lunch provided. Volunteers will be utilized for check-in\, assisting students to their assigned areas\, runners\, all to keep the days running smoothly. Team Lead Volunteers also need   to coordinate arrival of companies and set up   at The Shelby County Exhibition Center\, Columbiana\, AL.
