DESCRIPTION:UM PREPARES FOR ANNUAL COLLEGE NIGHT CELEBRATIONS\n\n \n\nMontevallo\, Ala.   The University of Montevallo will hold its College Night activities this week\, the University's longest running tradition and one of the most unique collegiate events in the nation.\n\n \n\nIn its 97th year\, the event has been celebrated annually during the second week in February since 1919\, coinciding with University homecoming festivities. The culminating performance of this year's College Night productions will be held on Saturday\, Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Palmer Auditorium.\n\n \n\nThe University splits into rivaling Gold and Purple sides for the event\, taking part in various competitions\, including College Night volleyball and soccer games and a basketball game at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday\, with points being accumulated through all events.\n\n \n\nThe crowning event of College Night is the completely student-created musical production.
