DESCRIPTION:The Shelby County Arts Council Welcomes author R. Kyle Hannah for an author talk and book signing on August 14\, 2015 at 6pm. Admission is free.\n\nR. Kyle Hannah has served in the US Military for over 28 years as a Finance Officer\, Logistics Officer and a host of other positions. He is slated to retire in 2015 and hopes to devote more time to writing.\n\n\n\nHis love for writing stems from a love for reading\, especially sci-fi and fantasy. His favorite authors include Robert Heinlein\, John Scalzi and William C Dietz.\n\n\n\nHe is the author of several short stories and three novels: ASSASSIN'S GAMBIT\, TIME ASSASSINS\, and TO AID AND PROTECT. He has several projects in the works\, including HARVEST DAY\, THE JAKE CUTTER CONSPIRACY\, HYPERION\, and ATLANTIS FALLING.\n\n\n\nHe is married with two children and lives in the suburbs of Birmingham\, Alabama.\n\nThe event is sponsored in part by: The Alabama Humanities Foundation and the Daniel Foundation.
