DESCRIPTION:Statistics indicate more and more women are starting businesses -- a whopping 1\,288 new businesses a day. What's more\, leadership roles women are taking in all business categories have increased as well. In recognizing this growth\, your Shelby County Chamber is looking for specific ways to help advocate an environment for business women to connect and build relationships focusing on professional development and growth with businesses\, and with community leaders.  \n\nTo that end\, the Chamber will be hosting an exploratory meeting on Thursday\, August 22 from 11:30AM   1:00PM to examine\, discuss and initiate specific new programming it can offer to achieve this goal.  A light lunch will be provided for participants.\n\nThe anticipated outcome from this effort will be to provide programming for women in business to meet and discuss issues that impact their professional development and growth.\n\n If you are interested in attending this meeting on August 22 please RSVP to Chamber President & CEO Kirk Mancer by phone at 419-3361 or by e-mail kirk@shelbychamber.org.
