JBMC Media

Matthew Allen is owner and publisher of JBMC Media, LLC, and oversees operations of five magazines: Bham Family; Enjoy Hoover; Gardendale Magazine; WestJeff Magazine; and the Bluff Park Neighborhood Reader. Each magazine reaches consumers through its large distribution of print magazines and active social media channels.

Matthew is a native of Thomaston, GA, and a graduate of the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia. He has 20 years’ experience in print and online publishing in the Birmingham market. He believes in being an active member of his community, and is involved with many different organizations, including the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce, Hoover City Schools Foundation, Hoover Rotary Club, and Shades Crest Baptist Church. He and his wife make their home in Hoover with their 11- and 14-year-old children and two dogs.
