Tinglewood Festival
Join us in Montevallo's Orr Park for Alabama's premier all-woodworking festival! Admission to the festival is free and open to the public. Live chainsaw carvers from across the country will create unique pieces of art to be auctioned off throughout the event. Enjoy live music all day from 3+ bands. 40+ woodworking artists will demonstrate their craft and have unique pieces available for sale. In addition to the 18th annual Cars by the Creek Car Show, there will be a day full of children’s activities, Tim Tingle’s Whittling Contest, and more! A full schedule of activities will be released closer to the event. Tinglewood Festival is inspired by a special section of Orr Park, where local artist Tim Tingle has carved faces and creatures into the dead parts of living cedar trees since a fateful ice storm in 1993. In 2018, the inaugural Tinglewood Festival brought over 6,000 people to Montevallo. Tinglewood Festival is organized by the Montevallo Chamber of Commerce, Montevallo Main Street, and the Montevallo Arts Council, as a signature event for the City of Montevallo.
