5th Annual ~ Taste of Shelby County

The Greater Shelby County Education Foundation and the Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 5th Annual Taste of Shelby County on Thursday, April 12, 2012, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Cahaba Grand Conference Center.

There will be vendors from all over Shelby County offering a "taste" of their specialty dishes from their menus at the event.  Vendors include restaurants, wineries, caterers, and more.  There will be a myriad of treats for everyone to enjoy!  Bring your spouse, family, friends, or make it a date night.  What a deal for $25 ... dining, live musical entertainment, and a dance floor to fast or slow dance the evening away.

Kevin Harrison will provide a variety of acoustic guitar music entertainment for the evening.
 
Vendors include restaurants, wineries, and caterers from all over Shelby County offering a taste of specialty dishes from their menus.  The following fine wineries and restaurants will be there serving their respective listed specialty item:  Annalyce's Bake Shop, cupcakes; Bellini’s Ristorante, Italian; Bistro at the Winery, baked ziti with garlic croustini; Blue Bell Creameries, assorted ice cream varieties; Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, sample cups of assorted flavors of ice cream; Donut Joe’s, red velvet and maple bacon donuts, coffee and frappuccino; Firebird’s Wood Fired Grill, Lobster Queso Dip and the cheesecake bites;Good People Brewing Company, various samples of ale and brews; Jefferson's, double dipped wings; Joe’s Italian Restaurant, Italian, Pasta Dell Mamma and Strawberry Cake; Johnny Ray's on 52 Pelham, pie; Little Caesars, pepperoni pizza, Italian cheese bread, crazy bread; Lucia’s Italian, Italian dish assortment; Margarita Grill, chips and hot sauce, cheese dip, and two ounce margaritas; McAlister's Deli, sweet and unsweet tea; Mikey's Grill, Boudin cakes with cajun remoulade sauce; Nino’s Italian Restaurant, bruschetta  and bread sticks; Pleasure is All Wine; wine, craft beer, gourmet food; Shelby's, spinach queso, chicken salad, buffalo chicken dip, mini-pizzas; Taziki’s Mediterranean Café, Friday pasta; Texas Roadhouse Pelham, grilled shrimp and steak kabobs; The Pampered Chef, various chef and cooking products; Vizzini Farms Winery, their own various wine tastings.
 
This is the fifth year for the event, which was met with such great success at the Cahaba Grand Conference Center, that we have kept the same venue this year.

**Purchasing Tickets Online

When you first click "Register Online" it will ask you for your Member Login.  If you are not a member of the Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce you may click on "Not a member?" to continue your purchase.  The price of prepaid tickets is the same for members or non-members.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. You may purchase tickets by visiting the Chamber, 1301 County Services Drive, Pelham, prepay by credit card over the phone 663-4542, or click "Register Online" above to purchase your tickets in advance and pick them up at the door upon entry.  The Chamber accepts cash, check, Discover, M/C, and Visa.
