American Legion Autress Russell Post 27 Holds Its First Open House
On March 23, 2010 at 6:30 PM, American Legion Autress Russell Post 27 will hold its first open house!
American Legion Post 27 was started in 1927 and named for, Autress Russell, the first African American soldier from Memphis killed in World War I. The post has never had a home of its own until January, 2010. Mrs. Susan Eubanks donated a building at 2994 Summer Avenue to the Post.
We invite you to join us in our celebration. We are made up of veterans from every war since WWII.
