Texas Roadhouse in Pelham has teamed up with area celebrities to help raise money for Kid One Transport by hosting a celebrity waiter event. Area celebs including: former NFL & UAB standouts Jake Arians and Otis Leverette as well as former University of Alabama Linebacker Antonio London, Mayor David Frings of Alabaster, Shelby County Chamber of Commerce President Jennifer Trammell, Pelham City Council Member Karyl Rice, News anchors Rod Carter (NBC13), Roy Hobbs (ABC3340) and Tamala Savage (ABC3340) along with radio personalities Lance Taylor (WJOX-Roundtable) and Tasha Simone (HOT107.7) will be on hand to serve up some of Texas Roadhouse's delicious legendary food while accepting tips and donations.

 

 

About Kid One: Kid One Transport helps children by providing transportation to medical checkups, mental and emotional health service appointments, dental appointments, and specialized care such as radiation and dialysis, and takes expectant mothers to doctor's appointments. Donations have not kept up with the increase in gas prices making it more difficult for the charity to get these kids where they need to go. For more than twelve years, Kid One Transport has been helping the children in 30 Alabama counties get to those essential medical appointments. Kid One is the only non-profit transportation provider in the United States.
