CENTRAL ALABAMA MENTORING COALITION TO HOST VOLUNTEER FAIR

BIRMINGHAM, AL (September 16, 2011) – The Central Alabama Mentoring Coalition will host a Volunteer Awareness and Recruitment Fair on Saturday, September 18th from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Shelby County Services Building, 2nd Floor Community Room, 1123 County Services Drive, Pelham, AL 35124.


Attendees will be encouraged to take advantage of the mentoring opportunities throughout the Greater Birmingham area.  Representatives from IMPACT Family Counseling, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Birmingham, Jefferson County Department of Human Resources, Jefferson County Family Court Adolescent Mentoring Program, Better Basics, Alabama Children’s Trust Fund Mentoring Moms, Real Life Poets, Inc., and Beginning Bridge Community Development Corporation will be on site to provide information on individual programs.

The volunteer awareness fair is a family-friendly event with food, games, face painting and live entertainment.
