The Equal Voice Campaign Deep South Regional Convention is coming to Birmingham, AL on September 6, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center.

 

People across the country have gathered at town hall meeting to discuss issues that impact the lives of working families.  The information is being compiled to create a national policy agenda that is reflective of the needs of families to prosper and benefit from an improved quality of life.   On September 6, 2008 families from Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi and Alabama will participate in the unveiling of the platform, which will be used to impact the upcoming presidential race.  We want your family represented as well!

 

Free admission, licensed childcare, entertainment and lunch will be provided. 

 

Also, participants will be able to speak with representatives of local advocacy groups, healthcare services, and non-profit organizations.
