Free Tax Workshop Offered to Area New Business Owners October 25th

Hoover - Starting a new business and have tax questions?  Mark your calendar and attend the Alabama Department of Revenue’s free New Business Workshop scheduled Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at 3 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. in Hoover.

The workshop will be held at the Hoover Public Safety Center, Defensive Driving Room (1st floor), located at 2020 Valleydale Road.

The free workshop will cover a variety of state tax information topics, including employer withholding taxes, state and local sales taxes, property taxes, and business licensing requirements.  An overview of Alabama’s business tax electronic filing programs will also be presented.
