The Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce’s Existing Business & Industry Work Group is holding its 3rd annual “Ready to Shred” Recycling Day from 10:00AM until 2:00PM on Friday. April 20. The event, sponsored in 2018 by Gone For Good Document & E-Waste Solutions, encourages safe and secure recycling of items. The host for our Recycling Day event is the Pelham Civic Complex & Ice Arena, 500 Amphitheater Road, Pelham. There will be an area in the parking lot designated for drop off of items.
The Work Group is planning to have an on-site mobile truck for document destruction* and E-Waste recycling drop off area**.
Below are items that are acceptable E-Waste items:
Computers/Laptops
Cell Phones/PDAs
DVD Players/VCRs
Laptops
Communications Equipment
Office Machines
Printers
Stereos
Servers/Routers
TVs and Monitors (FLAT SCREEN ONLY)
- Limit of 3-4 “Banker Boxes” of paper items
- Limit 3-4 lawn/leaf bags of acceptable recyclables
- Limit 3-4 medium plastic storage bins of acceptable recyclables
We are unable to accept:
Tubed TVs
Tubed Computer Monitors
Batteries
Refrigerators
There is no cost to drop off your documents or recyclable items within the above parameters.
