The Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual Meeting on January 26th at the Pelham Civic Complex. Highlights about the upcoming 2011 events and programs will be featured. Networking begins at 11am with non-profits being our Spotlight Feature and the seated program beginning at noon.

We are excited to have Will Estell, author of Wisdom & Wisecracks for the Aspiring Business Owner, as our keynote speaker.  Wisdom & Wisecracks for the Aspiring Business Owner was recently named by Inc. Magazine as one of only 10 business books in Inc.’s Holiday Gift Guide 2010: My Business Books Wish List.   He currently has plans for 4 more titles in the Wisdom & Wisecracks series, as well as other books, while also taking on motivational speaking engagements aimed towards the business and entrepreneurial segment, from colleges to corporate settings.

For the past 12 years Estell has been involved as both an owner and as a consultant in various businesses ranging from the health club industry to the salon industry to publishing, after starting his career in sales and management working for other companies. From these experiences Will has taken much of what he learned –the negative and the positive- and created hundreds of totally original thought provoking quotes on everything from entrepreneurship to advertising to the balance of business and family.
                                                   
His work has been called thought provoking and insightful, and has been mentioned alongside such motivational greats, as Anthony Robbins, Seth Godin, Howard Gardner, and others. Though short in nature his poetic quotes on business and life are memorable and inspiring, and serve as reference to be used over and over again by many who read and use them.

An avid writer in the magazine field, Estell regularly contributes to regional and national titles where he writes about everything from automobiles to travel to weddings and events. He is also an owner and publisher of 3G Media (headquartered in Anniston, AL), a small niche market magazine publisher, which owns the newsstand distributed titles, Gulf Coast Bride magazine, and Beaches magazine, as well as various websites in the event, real estate & relocation, and transportation industry, as well as creating ads and editorial content for various other publications and websites regionally and nationally.

Wisdom & Wisecracks for Entrepreneurs, and As Seen on Facebook: Positive Posts by Positive People, are two of the titles that Estell has slated for a release this year.
