Meet our host:
Dr Jim H Day, Jr, Optometrist, is a 1982 Graduate of the University of Alabama Birmingham, School of Optometry, and a 1978 Graduate of Birmingham-Southern College, (cum laude, Applied Mathmatics and Chemistry). As a third generation Optometrist he literally has grown up in the eye care field. Dr. Day is a frequent lecturer on Contact lenses and Orthokeratology and is past president of the International Orthokeratology Section of the National Eye Research Foundation. He has conducted FDA clinical research in several contact lens programs.
Dr. Day has a strong interest in the area of Myopia Prevention, Diabetic Care, Macular Degeneration, and Glaucoma.
As Sub-specialty: Custom topographic lenses for Keratoconus and Bifocal Vision.
He is TPA certified. (therapeutic pharmaceutical administration).
The common things Day Eye Center treats are: Common things we treat: Dry Eye, Allergy Eyes, Eye Lid Twitch, Diabetic Eyes, Cataracts, Glaucoma, Minor Eye injuries, Foreign materials in the eye, Rust in the eye, Scratched cornea abrasions, Red eyes infection and Pink eyes.
