Greater Shelby Chamber Luncheon ~ Stress And It's Affect on You
April Membership Luncheon To Focus on Health Care
The Chamber’s Membership Luncheon, scheduled for April 24 will feature a presentation on "Stress And It's Affect on You" by Dr. James Colvard, Oak Mountain Family Medicine. Dr. Colvard's specialty is family medicine. His education and training include attending medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and residency at the Montgomery Family Medicine Program.
Learn the possible causes of Stress -- Both positive and negative events in one's life can be stressful. However, major life changes are the greatest contributors of stress for most people. They place the greatest demand on resources for coping. Also learn how to best approach stress management -- Finding stress reduction practices that fit into your daily lifestyle is a good goal. He will discuss several ways to relieve the stress from your day. Finally, Dr. Colvard will discuss stress and it's affects on you -- mentally and physically.
The luncheon will be held at the Pelham Civic Complex & Ice Arena with doors opening at 11:00AM for networking and the Showcase Feature. The businesses in the healthcare industry will be participating in the Showcase Feature with the program beginning at 11:45AM.
