More about our presenter, Tina Savas

Tina Savas, Author & Speaker, works with organizations that want to create awareness of women’s issues, encourage entrepreneurship and shatter the glass ceiling.

She is among the first wave of women entrepreneurs in Birmingham, Alabama. In 1983, she founded the Birmingham Business Journal newspaper, followed by Alabama Health News, Alabama Construction News, and Birmingham Weekly.

In March of 2005, Savas began writing a book, Women of True Grit, about women who set firsts in their fields. With her co-author, the book was launched at the Women in Military Service Museum in Washington, D.C. It has garnered top national and international reviews. Visit the website: Women of True Grit.

Savas continues her entrepreneurial spirit through professional speaking, training, consulting, mentoring, real estate investment and other business ventures. Her passion for business has recently extended to volunteer and community work for those ages 50 and older.
