GSC ~ Teacher Internship Program (TIPs) ~ Businesses Needed to Host a Teacher
Greater Shelby Chamber ~ 2008 Teacher Internship Program (TIPs)
This year the focus is “Technology Skills in the Workplace”.
The Greater Shelby County Chamber is offering a Teacher Internship Program (TIPs) for Shelby County educators to participate in this summer. We need YOUR BUSINESS to host a teacher or two. There is no cost for you to participate.
TIPs allows teachers a three-day experience in the world of business to incorporate into lesson plans for their students. This year’s emphasis is on Technology Skills in the Workplace. As a business leader, this is your opportunity to demonstrate a variety of technology skills, regardless of the type of business.
Please consider hosting a teacher for a three-day internship at your business in June.
You will be provided an outline as a guide for you and the teacher(s). This will maximize your impact in a Shelby County classroom.
To sign up and receive additional information, contact April Stone at 663-4542 or via email, april@shelbychamber.org.
