The Transportation Summit will feature Honorable Seth Hammett (D-Andalusia), Speaker of the Alabama House of Representatives. Speaker Hammett serves as chairman of the Alabama Commission on Infrastructure, created by the Alabama Legislature in 2005 to identify and recommend solutions to the challenges facing Alabama's transportation infrastructure system. Two of the primary focal points of the Commmission's report are the growing traffic congestion crisis of the State's interstate highway system and pressing issues in the State's entire transportation network including airports, ports, railways and waterways. Paul Rogers, Executive Vice President-Red Mountain Bank and Chairman of the Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and THE PARTNERSHIP, will present THE PARTNERSHIP's Legislative priorities for the 2007 session.
