Miss Vulcan 1939 September 8 - 9 Saturday, 7:30 pm Sunday Matinee, 2:00 pm $20, $10 children ages 5 - 12 for Sunday only, ages 4 and under free Red Mountain Theater Company and Vulcan Park and Museum present Miss Vulcan 1939. Inspired by actual events, Miss Vulcan 1939 will transport you back in time to the first (and only) Miss Vulcan pageant. Roman Mythology and 1930’s Birmingham collidge in this zany musical romp where anything can happen. Join us in telling this unpredictable and (somewhat) true story of a meek dime store clerk who challenges the city’s debutantes in a beauty pageant to crown Vulcan’s queen!
