Join us for the kickoff of a Partnership between United Way, Positive Maturity and Middle Alabama Area Agency on Aging to connect volunteers from faith based groups, social groups and all areas of community to seniors in Shelby County who are facing issues with transportation, friendly visits, light housekeeping, and other unmet needs.
Funded by a Community Initiatives Grant of United Way of Central Alabama, NetWorks is a partnership between United Way, Positive Maturity and Middle Alabama Area Agency on Aging that connects communities to volunteer opportunities that enhance the lives of Shelby County seniors and their caregivers.
On Wednesday, January 9, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m, NetWorks is having its official launch, which will include a special luncheon, presentation, door prizes, and information booths.
At the official launch, you will learn more about the needs of Shelby County seniors and the volunteer opportunities available through NetWorks to meet these needs.
