On June 5, Helena and Pelham walkers go around the clock in the battle against cancer during the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of North Shelby.

 

Teams of enthusiastic participants will gather at Pelham Athletic Park for an overnight relay from 7pm on Friday, June 5, until 6am on Saturday, June 6, that celebrates anyone who has battled cancer, remembers loved ones lost and empowers all to fight back against the disease.

 

Area residents are invited to participate in Relay For Life events including the inspirational first lap taken by cancer survivors (anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer)at 7pm, and the Luminaria Ceremony at 10pm.

 

Area bands will be on hand to provide entertainment, and games and fun will continue throughout the night.
