Most presenters will have back-to-back sessions, so it is important for you to stay on schedule. Remember to wear a watch in case there is not a clock in your classroom. Please start and end on time. Also, be sure that you have the right group before you begin. We will have signs posted beside the door of each classroom to help everyone be where he or she needs to be.
Presenter Training – There will be presenter training upon request. Call Kim at the office 669-7136.
LUNCH - Lunch will be provided to the volunteers at 12:30 PM. The last session of the day will be over at 12:15 at which time volunteers can eat lunch and then attend the magic show if you desire. The Fishin’ Magicians will put on a very enjoyable magic show.
CLEAN UP - Please leave the classrooms as clean as or cleaner than you found it. You must put the desks back in rows, the same way you found the classroom. There will be large garbage cans in each of the Edible Aquifer and Fantastic Filtration classrooms. Extra garbage bags will be provided. Please take all supplies in the box given to the storage room prior to going to lunch. We will have a clean up crew that will collect all leftover supplies and garbage.
LITTER FREE EVENT - The Festival is a litter free event. Please remind students to look for trashcans throughout the building and outdoors and be conscious with your own materials and food.
Please send your volunteer form in by November 12th. Thanks again for your assistance! We look forward to seeing you and hope it will be a fun day for all! If you have any questions, please call Kim Joiner at 205-669-7136 or email at kim.joiner@al.nacdnet.net.
