An upcoming celebration to honor three "Southern Women of Distinction" will benefit children and families by bringing a little joy to the life of foster children; and by helping to provide the most basic services for families in need through a unique program in Shelby County. The Southern Women's Committee of Fifty will hold its annual luncheon at The Club on March 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., honoring author Kathryn Tucker Windham, health advocate Linda Bachus, and news anchor Brenda Ladun.
