Spina Bifida Association of Alabama 3rd Annual Golf Tournament

Sign up now for the Spina Bifida Association of Alabam's Golf Tournament this year!  There will be  great door prizes such as a golf bag, free rounds of golf, many gift certificates to local restaurants, and other exciting prizes to be given away the day of the event. 

 

There will also be prizes awarded to the two top scoring teams!

 

Come ready to play golf and we'll provide the rest.  Breakfast and lunch will be catered by Eagle Point Golf Club.

 

The Spina Bifida Association of Alabama (SBA of AL) is a nonprofit organization based out of Birmingham that serves over 400 families across the state affected by Spina Bifida. Spina Bifida is the most common, permanently disabling birth defect in the United States. It affects 1 in every 1000 live births. Some of the effects of Spina Bifida include paralysis, bowel and bladder complications, hydrocephalus, and learning disorders.

 

The mission of the SBA of AL is to enhance the lives of all those affected by Spina Bifida while also raising awareness of its prevention through community outreach and education. Our organization works to equip these individuals with the tools needed to lead more independent and fulfilling lives.  We do this by giving them a connection to vocational and community support, providing a social network and financial benefits program, offering advanced educational scholarships, and by ensuring that they receive the most updated community and medical information through our quarterly newsletter.

 

We offer our services and programs to our families at no fee to them, therefore, we depend on yearly fund-raising events such as the annual Birmingham golf tournament for our funding. This event not only helps us to raise funds but also awareness of this birth defect and its prevention n the Birmingham community.
