You're Invited to the Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Calera Intermediate School (through Miss Alabama Platform "Gimme-a-Break - Providing Sensory Rooms for Children with Special Needs")!

You are invited to attend the Official Ribbon Cutting Celebration for Calera Intermediate School (through Miss Alabama Platform "Gimme-a-Break - Providing Sensory Rooms for Children with Special Needs") on Thursday, March 15th at 6:00PM - located at 8454 US-31, Calera, AL 35040 - Room 303.

This is the open house of Calera’s first official Sensory Room for children diagnosed with special needs disorders. The Sensory Room was made by Isabella Powell, Miss Sylacauga 2018. As Miss Sylacauga, Isabella has done this work through the implementation of her Miss Alabama platform, “Gimme-a-Break~ Providing Sensory Rooms for Children with Special Needs.” This is Isabella’s first sensory room to open and is hoping there are many more to come! This event will be held at Calera Intermediate School on Thursday, March 15th at 6pm. Children will be able to tryout the sensory room for the very first time and ask questions about why this is an essential part of many children’s education.
