Lady Sings the Blues: Featuring B.J. Reed Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 8:00pm Billie Holiday had a strong influence on jazz and pop singing. Her vocal style inspired by jazz instrumentalists, pioneered a new way of manipulating phrasing and tempo. Dinah Washington self proclaimed "Queen of the Blues", her short life was a flurry of bad decisions and great musical talent. B.J. Reed sings the songs that made these two woman musical icons.
