The Shelby County Arts Council welcomes accomplished Blues singer B J Reed to the performing arts venue. Reed is an award winning singer whose work with the Alabama Blues Project for the past several years has inspired many young, aspiring singers. As a child she sang songs of her favorite artists to entertain her siblings, today she continues to entertain crowds at regional festivals and clubs. Using her background in classic soul and gospel she will take the stage performing the songs of Billie Holiday and Dinah Washington that not only made these women musical icons but also influenced her own work.
