Carolyn Haines is the author of the Sarah Booth Delaney Mississippi Delta mystery series, the latest will be BOOTY BONES (May 2014) and writing as R.B. Chesterton, two dark novels, THE DARKLING and THE SEEKER (March 2014). She has published in a number of genres including short fiction, general fiction, mystery, crime, suspense, romantic mystery, and nonfiction. In 2010, she received the Harper Lee Award for Distinguished Writing and in 2009, the Richard Wright Award for Literary Excellence. She is also the recipient of an Alabama Writing Fellowship from the Alabama State Council on the Arts. She teaches graduate and undergraduate fiction at the University of South Alabama and is the president of Good Fortune Farm Refuge, an animal rescue that focuses on spay/neutering companion animals. The cookbook she recently produced with a coalition of readers and friends, Bone-A-Fied Delicious, Recipes from Zinnia's Finest Chefs, is a fund-raiser for the animal rescue.
